Solvent Energy has completed the sale of two of its US solar-and-storage projects, Forts Trail and Inadale, to CIG Energy. The transaction closed on July 1, 2026 and represents another significant milestone in the development and transfer of utility-scale renewable energy assets.
Both projects pair large-scale solar photovoltaic generation with battery energy storage systems (BESS) — a combination that enhances grid reliability and supports the integration of renewable energy into the ERCOT market. Together they add substantial new solar capacity backed by dedicated storage:
- Forts Trail — 200 MW solar paired with 400 MW BESS
- Inadale — 280 MW solar paired with 280 MW BESS
For CIG Energy, the acquisition expands its US clean energy portfolio and reinforces its long-term investment strategy in renewable infrastructure.
For Solvent Energy, the divestment reflects its business model of originating, developing, and monetizing high-quality energy projects, allowing the company to redeploy capital toward the next generation of renewable energy developments.
